Composer Placement: Shape the Soundtrack for VIRDEE with Hans Zimmer and the Bleeding Fingers team
We're thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for budding media composers in Bradford and across Yorkshire. Join us for a chance to collaborate with the world-renowned Hans Zimmer and the talented Bleeding Fingers Team on the musical score for BBC One's forthcoming detective drama series, VIRDEE.
The chosen composer will not only be a part of the Screen Academy Bradford initiative but will also embark on a one-week placement in Los Angeles with the Bleeding Fingers composer team, where you will gain hands-on experience in composing for visual media.
AA Dhand, the creator of VIRDEE said, "This is an incredible opportunity for the right emerging musical talent to make a profound mark in the industry and gain invaluable experience working with arguably one of the world’s greatest living composers."
If you were born, raised or currently live in the Bradford area and surrounding four Yorkshire counties, have a passion for film and television, and possess original musical ideas that can breathe life into the series' soundtrack, we invite you to submit a short recording (up to 1 minute) by midnight on Sunday 10th December 2023 via the application link below.
We will be reviewing all submissions and announcing the successful applicants by the 15th December with plans to commence the initial part of the placement, including participation in the Screen Academy Bradford boot camp, in January 2024.
This placement is designed to pave the way for a new generation of media composers, regardless of their background or circumstance. Don't miss this unique opportunity to showcase your musical talents and leave your mark on VIRDEE.
Applications for the 2023-2024 Composer Placement are now closed. Thank you to all who applied.
